Cassandra, CDRS & TDLR Licensed Teaching Assistant Cassandra joined Strowmatt Rehab Services in late 2010. She lives in Fort Worth and works with our clients throughout the north-central portion of Texas. Cassandra was born and raised in New Mexico. She frequently visited the DFW area and decided to make it her home in 2006. She is the mother of five children and grandmother of six. When she isn't at work, you will usually find her enjoying precious time with her family. Cassandra's background is varied; and, until she became familiar with Strowmatt Rehab Services, she never realized how all of those experiences blended so well to prepare her for this position. She earned her bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University. Cassandra is a TDLR Licensed Teaching Assistant and a member of the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED); and, became a CDRS in 2015. As the adoptive parent of a disabled child, Cassandra has a first-hand understanding of the challenges and obstacles faced by the individual as well as the supporting family members. This understanding initiated the desire to invest her talents in helping disabled clients claim or regain greater independence through acquiring the ability to drive. Cassandra readily adapts to an ever-changing environment and is able to individualize her teaching style to fit the specific client. She believes you can work hard yet smile and be light-hearted while you do it. Cassandra works to create a positive learning atmosphere and gives each client the courage to stretch themselves until they confidently master the skill of driving. Cassandra admires the tenacity and determination she recognizes in her clients and receives tremendous satisfaction from their accomplishments. Though her time with each client is brief, she strives to ensure her investment permanently and positively alters their world. |
